The iPhone Isn't King Anymore

This box is elegantly designed. I also find that there’s a reason why black was chosen as the color for the box because the Apple iPhone which uses a white box is the direct rival of the Samsung Galaxy. Black is usually the opposite or signifies rivalry to something that is white. The typography and letter forms are also nicely done as well. The typography has a very shiny look to them that creates a sort of rainbow effect when light hits it at the right angle.

The letter forms are simple not too over the top. Everything looks like standard print and there could be a reason for this as well. Since Samsung wants the Galaxy phone in as many people hands as possible choosing a very neutral letter form that wouldn’t drive away customer at the very site of it is a good idea. A letter form that is too outlandish or strange or maybe hard to read can potentially hurt sales. The “S” after Galaxy seems to be the only letter form that is really different. The “S” is much more sharp, larger and just overall has a much more edgy design to it than the “S” that is seen in the word "Samsung." I wouldn’t change a thing about this cover box design. I like the black and I also like the shiny letter form that directly contrasts with the black as well.
